25 years of experience working in full-stack web development with a focus on education and community.

I joined the world of online community web development in 1999 when I discovered the Arsdigita Community System, and quickly learned of the fully open source version OpenACS. Incredibly this project is still active and I have been maintaining OpenACS-based sites up until early 2024.

Through my career I become an elected member of the OpenACS Core Team helping to manage the roadmap and release process of the platform.

Once I discovered the Django platform, I realized it was organized exactly how my brain thought about web-based projects and I have been working on Django-based projects personally and professionally ever since.

Some of me specialties are online educational platforms from the user perspective, and designing complex queries and architecting unique data collection and reporting systems from the backend perspective.
