Help: Profiles

General Profile Setup

How do I create a profile on PyBazaar?

To create a profile, go to Developers βž” Your profile. Add all information you would like to publish. Click Next. Upload your avatar and cover image. Click Save and publish.

What information is required to complete my profile?

Only your name is required information to create a profile. You can set it at your account. All other fields are optional, but the more information you give about yourself, the better you can be found for career opportunities.

Can I edit my profile after it’s been created?

You can change, publish, unpublish, or delete your profile at any time. Profiles are stored separately from accounts, so don't worry if you decide to remove it.

Profile Visibility and Privacy

Who can see my profile?

If your profile is unpublished, only you can see it. If it's published, it can be found by anyone. Your email visibility depends on your settings.

You can control who will see your email address: just you, only verified users, only authenticated users, or all visitors.

All other information of published profiles will be seen to everyone and indexed by search engines. So don't publish anything that you want to keep just to yourself.

How to make my profile stand out?
  • Highlight Key Skills: Focus on your core Python competencies, such as web development, data science, automation, or machine learning, and mention any frameworks or libraries you're proficient in like Django, Flask, or Pandas.
  • Showcase Projects: Include specific projects or open-source contributions, especially those that demonstrate your problem-solving skills or innovation using Python, with links to GitHub or live examples.
  • Keep it Concise and Impactful: Summarize your experience in a few sentences, using strong action verbs and measurable outcomes (e.g., "Developed an automated testing suite that reduced bugs by 30%").
  • Include Your Learning Journey: Whether self-taught or through formal education, briefly mention how you learned Python and any notable certifications or courses that back up your expertise.
  • Personalize It: Add a touch of personality by sharing what excites you most about Python development, such as solving complex algorithms or building tools that streamline workflows.
Can I get feedback of my profile's quality?

If you are unsure how your profile looks to others, post a link and ask fellow developers on our Discord channel.
